Ratusan nasi kotak dan takjil dibagikan ke warga sekitar dan pengendara yang melintas untuk bekal berbuka puasa di hari pertama bulan suci ramadhan. 

Menurut Agus Sukoco, aksi sosial ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk kepedulian dan keprihatinan atas kesulitan masyarakat akibat wabah virus corona (Covid-19). Apalagi, saat ini mayoritas warga Pemalang yang beragama Islam sedang menjalankan ibadah puasa.

“Wabah corona berdampak pada ekonomi rakyat kecil. Kebutuhan bahan pokok (makanan), saat ini sangat dibutuhkan. Siapapun warga Pemalang yang punya rezeki lebih, punya kewajiban untuk ikut peduli dan membantu lingkungan sekitar,” kata Agus.

Politisi PDIP ini menyatakan, aksi bagi-bagi nasi kotak dan takjil gratis ini diharapkan sebagai stimulan bagi elemen lain di Pemalang untuk bersama bergerak. Pembagian nasi kotak gratis ini akan rutin dilakukan, selama bulan ramadhan dan darurat virus corona.
