PEKALONGAN (PUSKAPIK) – Ribuan rumah di Kota Pekalongan hingga kini masih terendam banjir setinggi 50 cm hingga 1 meter. Ribuan warga bertahan di sejumalh tempat pengungsian karena rumahnya tidak bisa ditinggali.
Kondisi para pengungsi saat ini kedinginan karena minim fasilitas seperti alas tempat tidur, selimut juga baju basah. Kondisi mereka, terutama anak-anak dan manula, mulai sakit seperti demam, batuk, pilek juga gatal- gatal.
Sejumlah warga mengeluhkan banjir selalu menggenangi perkampungan mereka di setiap musim penghujan. “Kami sebulan sudah dua kali mengungsi dan ini semakin parah, genangan air semakin tinggi. Kami sebenarnya bisa mengungsi berkali-kali, tetapi bagaimana lagi, karena kondisi selalu banjir,” kata Riyatun, warga Kelurahan Tirto, Kecamatan Pekalongan Barat.
Rencananya, pemerintah akan membuat tanggul atau parapet di sepanjang sungai, agar tidak meluap keperkampungan, tapi sampai sekarang belum teralisasi. (YON)
