PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Pengurus Cabang (PC) Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) Kabupaten Pemalang inginkan Pemilu 2024 berjalan damai. Mereka minta tak ada provokasi yang memperkeruh pesta demokrasi.

Itu ditegaskan PC PMII Kabupaten Pemalang dalam deklarasi Pemilu Damai 2024 yang diselenggarakan di salah satu rumah makan di Pemalang, Jumat 29 Desember 2023.

Deklarasi pemilu damai yang digelar PMII Kabupaten Pemalang ini juga menggandeng sejumlah BEM yang ada di Pemalang, antara lain BEM ITB Adias Pemalang dan DEMA STIT Pemalang.

Ketua PC PMII Pemalang, Muhammad Adi Saputra, mengatakan, deklarasi ini dilakukan sebagai bentuk komitmen mahasiswa mendukung pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024 yang demokratis dan transparan.

“PMII Pemalang mendorong terciptanya kondusifitas suasana pemilu yang akan datang (2024) dengan menghindari segala tindakan yang dapat memprovokasi dan memperkeruh suasana pemilu,” ungkap Adi.

PC PMII Pemalang secara tegas mengecam segala bentuk provokasi yang dapat merusak integritas Pemilu 2024. Kecaman pun berlaku terhadap penggunaan politik identitas, politik uang, kampanye hitam, dan penyebaran hoaks.

Lebih lanjut, PC PMII Pemalang juga mengajak kepada seluruh mahasiswa dan masyarakat di Kabupaten Pemalang untuk bersinergi menjaga keamanan pemilu 2024 agar tidak mudah dipecah belah.

“Jangan sampai ada normalisasi politik uang, politisasi agama, politik identitas, dan lainnya. Dan masyarakat harus bijak dalam menyaring informasi di sosial media, jangan sampai masyarakat terpecah belah oleh berita hoax,” pungkasnya.
