Kepala Rutan Kelas IIA Pekalongan, Anggit Yongki Setiawan mengungkapkan, remisi adalah salah satu hak warga binaan yang diberikan sebagai wujud apresiasi terhadap pencapaian perbaikan diri selama berada di rutan/lapas. Anggit menyebutkan, dari 100 WBP Rutan yang diusulkan mendapatkan remisi, 2 orang di antaranya mendapatkan Remisi Umum (RU) II atau langsung bebas.
“Untuk Remisi Kemerdekaan bagi WBP Rutan Kelas II A Pekalongan di tahun 2021 ini sejumlah 100 orang, terdiri dari 98 orang mendapatkan RU I dan 2 orang mendapatkan RU II atau langsung bebas. Dengan rincian 69 orang mendapatkan pengurangan masa tahanan 1 bulan sebanyak 69 orang, 19 orang potongan tahanan 2 bulan, 8 orang mendapatkan potongan tahanan 3 bulan dan 4 orang mendapatkan potongan tahanan 4 bulan,” kata Anggit saat ditemui di Kantor Rutan Kelas II A Pekalongan, Senin, 16 Agustus 2021.
Anggit menjelaskan, tidak semua warga binaan diusulkan mendapat remisi umum Kemerdekaan RI tahun ini. Syaratnya, mereka taat dan patuh serta tidak melakukan pelanggaran selama menjalani hukuman di lingkungan rutan. Mereka yang diusulkan sudah menjalani masa hukuman minimal selama 6 bulan.
“Untuk kasus pidana mereka bervariasi ada yang kriminal, narkotika tapi untuk narkotika. Di sini rata-rata pelanggarannya belum terlalu tinggi masa pidananya.
