PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Sarung tenun goyor atau sarung toldem adalah salah satu produk unggulan dari Kabupaten Pemalang. Bahkan, Agustus 2019 lalu, diadakan festival sarung goyor. Tepatnya di Desa Wanarejan Utara, Kecamatan Taman, yang merupakan sentra produksi sarung goyor.

Namun bukan hanya Desa Wanarejan Utara. Di Pemalang, produksi sarung goyor juga ada di desa lain. Salah satunya Desa Kabunan, Kecamatan Taman, milik Supari (45).

Supari mengungkapkan, produk sarung goyor miliknya ini istimewa. Karena, proses pembuatannya menggunakan Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) atau manual.

“sehingga lebih detail dan tidak bisa ditiru oleh mesin,” ungkap Supari, Kamis 26 November 2020.

Diceritakan Supari, awal mula dirinya menjalani usahanya ini, saat mengantar salah satu teman, yang kebetulan adalah seorang pekerja tenun Goyor. Berangkat dari situ, akhirnya Supari mulai tertarik dan langsung nencoba.

“Basic saya sebenernya orang lapangan mas, sama sekali tidak pernah bekerja di bidang tenun. Saya hanya punya niat mencoba, bismillah dan ternyata hasilnya Alhamdulillah,” kata Supari.

Usaha tenun ini sudah Supari rintis sejak tujuh tahun yang lalu, dan masih menggunakan rumah pribadi. Kini, pria berusia 45 tahun itu sudah mempunyai pondok produksi.

Awalnya, Supari hanya mempunyai satu alat tenun (ATBM), dan usahanya terus berkembang. Hingga sekarang, sudah memiliki 14 ATBM dengan 14 karyawan.

“Dalam satu Minggu, kami mengahasilkan empat kodi kain atau sarung tenun goyor,” jelas Supari.

Meski biasa menjual sarung goyor per-kodi, tapi konsumen atau masyarakat umum juga bisa membeli satuan.

Namun demikian, Supari mengeluh, belakangan penurunan penjualan terjadi akibat pandemi Covid-19, target distribusi produk usahanya di beberapa pasar terhenti.

“Akhir-akhir ini kami mulai merasakan perubahan penjualan karena konsumen meminta kualitas ditingkatkan, sedangkan harga sedikit turun. Yang tadinya kami mengirim ke berbagai kota, sekarang hanya di daerah Pemalang dan sekitarnya,” tutur Supari.
