PUSKAPIK.COM, Pemalang – Kasus gizi buruk di Kabupaten Pemalang masih tergolong tinggi, meskipun tahun 2020 lalu mengalami penurunan dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Beragam faktor menyumbang kasus gizi buruk di Kota Ikhlas, hingga Pemalang ditetapkan locus penanganan gizi buruk dan stunting.
Dituturkan Fidiyatun, Plt Kabid Kesehatan Masyarakat (Kesmas), Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pemalang, angka kasus gizi buruk masih tinggi dengan jumlah 3856 anak, pada tahun 2020 lalu.
Namun demikian, jumlah itu mengalami penurunan 12,68 persen dibanding tahun 2019, dengan jumlah 4843 anak.
Faktor penyebabnya adalah orang tua sibuk bekerja dan lalai terhadap kebutuhan anak-anak, terutama gizi yang dibutuhkan pada masa pertumbuhan.
“Biasanya orang tua ini tidak melihat kebutuhan gizi anak mereka sibuk bekerja, dan yang penting anak-anak tidak rewel. Dan ini terjadi tidak hanya dikalangan ekonomi bawah, namun kalangan dengan tingkat ekonomi atas pun ada yang mengalaminya,†tutur Fidiyatun, Kamis 29 April 2021.
Akibatnya, anak akan mengalami masalah gagal tumbuh dan berat badan yang kurang, atau sering disebut gizi buruk. Apabila tidak ditangani lebih lanjut, maka akan menjadi kasus stunting.
Kini, kasus gizi buruk dan stunting berangsur menurun pesat, setelah Pemerintah pusat menetapkan Kabupaten Pemalang sebagai locus pencegahan gizi buruk dan stunting sejak tahun 2018.
“Dulu sebelum ada program ini, kami Dinkes bekerja sendiri, padahal faktor yang menjadikan kasus ini beragam. Dari sanitasi yang kurang, lalu pola asuh, dan masih banyak tentunya. Dalam program tersebut penanganan Dinkes hanya 30% dan sisanya merupakan gabungan dari lintas sektoral,†terang Fidiyatun.
Susi Kusuma Wati, Staf Dinkes Pemalang, menambahkan, saat ini penanganan dari Dinkes berupa pemberian obat kurang darah, vitamin dan posyandu balita. Mengingat masih dalam situasi pandemi, tahun Dinkes melakukan inovasi berupa pelayanan online, melalui WhatsApp.
“Pelayanan ini biasanya warga yang mempunyai keluhan anak, akan langsung menghubungi di grup khusus, dan bila perlu penanganan maka kami langsung ke lokasi. Namun beberapa pekan ini setelah kasus Covid menurun kami mulai membuka posyandu dengan catatan daerah tersebut tidak berada di zona merah,†imbuh Susi.
