Awas! di Pemalang DBD Mulai Serang Anak-anak

PEMALANG (PUSKAPIK)- Awal tahun 2020 hingga pertengahan Februari, terjadi 2 kasus DBD menyerang pada kalangan anak-anak. Dinas kesehatan Pemalang, mencatat 2 kasus DBD (demam berdarah dengue), dan 43 kasus DD (demam dengue).

Kepala Bidang Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P) Dinkes Kabupaten Pemalang, Surip, telah menerima laporan dari berbagai rumah sakit di Pemalang. “Dua kasus demam berdarah terjadi pada anak-anak usia di bawah 15 tahun, dan 43 kasus demam dengue menyerang anak-anak dan dewasa,” ujar Surip, Selasa (18/02/2020).

Infeksi virus dengue cepat menular terutama untuk anak-anak, dan menyerang pada masa epidemik. Dinas Kesehatan Pemalang mencatat, tahun 2019 80% penyakit DBD menyerang anak-anak, dan 20% kalangan dewasa.

Demam dengue merupakan gejala penyakit yang sama, dari gigitan nyamuk aedes aegypti. Penyakit ini hampir mirip dengan demam berdarah, namun beda tingkat kewaspadaanya. Demam dengeu tidak membahayakan dan tidak menyebabkan kematian seperti DBD.

Gejala penyakit demam dengue yang sama seperti DBP, menjadikan kekhawatiran pada warga. Penentuan penyakit pada demam dengue, dan DBD dapat dilakukan pada hari ke 3 gejala dan pemeriksaan.

Sekretaris Dinas Kesehatan Pemalang, Mardiyanto SPD, mengatakan, perlunya kesadaran warga untuk selalu memperhatikan lingkungan, merupakan pencegahan agar DBD tidak mudah menular, terutama pada kalangan anak-anak.

“Memperhatikan kebersihan rumah, mengawasi genangan air di sekitar, terutama selalu memperhatikan bak mandi, agar jentik nyamuk tidak berkembang,” ujar Mardiyanto.

Dinas Kesehatan Pemalang memberikan penyuluhan sosialisasi pemberantasan sarang nyamuk (PSN), kepada masyarakat. Upaya tersebut, merupakan pencegahan paling efektif untuk DBD. Penyuluhan memberitahukan kepada warga, agar selalu menguras bak mandi setiap seminggu sekali.

Genangan air di sekitar permukiman, juga menjadi penyebab nyamuk aedes aegypti berkembang. Terutama setelah turun hujan, sisa genangan perlu diperhatikan. Di sebabkan perkembangan bintik nyamuk dari genangan air, di tempat-tempat tertentu.

Kecamatan Pemalang merupakan daerah yang rawan terkena DBD, karena mobilitas masyarakat tinggi, daerah yang padat penduduk, menjadi sasaran terutama untuk kalangan anak-anak. Kelurahan Kebondalem dan Mulyoharjo menjadi daerah perkotaan yang rawan serangan DBD.(ADR)
