PEMALANG (PUSKAPIK)-KPU Kabupaten Pemalang ajak muda-mudi milenial mendaftar sebagai calon anggota Panitia Pemungutan Suara (PPS). Regenerasi penyelenggara pemilihan serta tuntutan zaman jadi alasan utama KPU.
“Kami ingin milenial mau gabung jadi penyelenggara Pilbup di tingkat desa. Ini upaya regenerasi serta tuntutan pekerjaan kepemiluan yang mulai serba digital,” ujar Agus Setiyanto, Divisi Sosialisasi Pendidikan Pemilih dan SDM KPU Kabupaten Pemalang, kepada Puskapik, Senin pagi (17/2/ 2020).
Untuk mewujudkan harapan itu, KPU Pemalang makin aktif sosialisasi di media sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan Youtube. KPU menganggap sosialisasi di dunia maya akan efektif membuat milenial tertarik. Cara sosialisasi seperti itu dianggap cukup berhasil saat KPU merekrut penyelenggara pemilihan tingkat kecamatan, Panita Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK).
Pada rekrutmen PPK, Januari lalu, data KPU Pemalang mencatat ada 291 muda-mudi berusia 17-30 tahun mendaftar. Sebagian besar dari mereka belum pernah menjadi penyelenggara pemilihan. Tapi mereka mengaku berani mendaftar karena sebelumnya mendapat informasi yang cukup dari internet terkait seleksi PPK.
Sebagian besar muda-mudi itu belum berhasil alias gugur dalam seleksi PPK. Agus berharap mereka tak putus asa sehingga mau kembali ke KPU untuk mendaftar menjadi anggota PPS.
“Seleksi PPS tidak akan seketat PPK. Anak-anak muda yang kemarin daftar PPK kami sarankan daftar PPS. Peluang terpilih akan lebih besar,” ujar Agus.
Milenial di Pemalang bisa mengirimkan berkas pendaftaran PPS ke kantor kecamatan atau langsung ke KPU kabupaten. Pendaftaran juga bisa melalui pos dan email ppspilbup.pml20@gmail.com mulai 18 sampai 24 Februari 2020.
Syarat-syarat pendaftaran PPS hampir sama dengan PPK seperti melampirkan surat keterangan sehat, fotocopi e-ktp, ijazah minimal SMA sederajat yang dilegalisir, dan dua lembar foto diri berwarna. Formulir pendaftaran bisa didownload di website KPU Kabupaten Pemalang.(AR)
