PENANGKAPAN Mantan Bupati Pemalang Mukti Agung Wibowo oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) seharusnya jadi momentum perbaikan pemerintahan saat ini. Menyisakan Mansur Hidayat yang saat ini didapuk jadi Plt Bupati, Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Pemalang harus habis-habisan berbenah diri dan tidak membiarkan kesempatan baik ini berlalu begitu saja.

Sayangnya, kesempatan emas itu malah lewat begitu saja. Perilaku culas dan korup masih terjadi seperti tak ada kapoknya. Belum reda skandal jual-beli jabatan yang mengakibatkan Mukti Agung Wibowo, ADIpati beserta empat pejabat lainnya dijebloskan ke tahanan KPK, kini muncul skandal jual-beli proyek yang disebut-sebut melibatkan elit partai politik pengusung.

Padahal, publik (baca: rakyat) berharap, ditangan Mansur Hidayat, rezim saat ini mampu merubah diri, memperbaiki kinerja dan memberangus praktek kotor jual-beli jabatan dan jual-beli proyek yang masih terjadi. Alih-alih memperbaiki keadaan, Mansur justru seperti tak berdaya.

Ikut campur bahkan intervesi dari elit partai politik yang juga Anggota DPRD Pemalang dalam mengkondisikan proyek-proyek APBD Pemalang menjadi bukti ketidakberdayaan Mansur dalam memberesi bobroknya pemerintahan saat ini.

Namun lagi-lagi, harapan publik bahwa Pemalang akan jauh lebih baik seperti mengipasi kincir angin, alias sia-sia.

Masih ada waktu bagi Mansur untuk berbenah, memberesi carut-marut pemerintahan yang dipegangnya saat ini. Sebagai nahkoda Pemalang, ketegasan Mansur dibutuhkan untuk mengembalikan citra buruk pemerintahannya, juga untuk mengembalikan kepercayaan publik.

Mansur harus tegas menolak menuruti kemauan elit partai pengusungnya yang berperilaku culas. Memperbaiki kinerja seluruh jajarannya dan memberangus perilaku culas orang-orang di sekitarnya harus sesegera mungkin dilakukan.

Kalau tidak, nasib sama seperti pendahulunya Mukti Agung Wibowo bukan tak mungkin akan terjadi. Kekuasaannya kandas di tengah jalan karena berurusan dengan APH (Aparat Penegak Hukum).

Jika nasibnya tak sesial Mukti Agung Wibowo sekalipun, rakyat yang terlanjur kecewa tentu tak akan memilihnya lagi saat Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) tahun 2024 nanti. Masih cukup waktu, berbenah atau cukup sampai 2024!
